Atmosphere:

The Afandou area is made up of 3 parts..

• A large buzzing Greek village.
• The long beach with very peaceful areas and other more commercial areas.
• And Kolymbia which is a tourist resort.

Families or groups of friends wanting to spend quality time together.

Why Afandou?

Ideally located half way between Rhodes Town and Lindos and near the famous wedding venue Kalithea Springs and Spa. A fantastic Blue Flag beach with crystal clear water. Lots of activities to participate in such as water sports, horse-riding, Golf (the Rhodes Golf Course is in Afandou) and Europe's Biggest Waterpark is less than 10 minutes drive away.

There are some great seafood tavernas right on the beach. As well as the local Afandou beach, there are some glorious bays just a few minutes' drive away such as Ladiko and Anthony Quinn Bay which are wonderful for snorkelling.

Recommendations of things to do during your stay in the Afandou area:

Tsampika Monastery and beach – Climb the winding steps all the way up to Tsampika Monastery and you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Tsampika beach below and the surrounding area. If you are planning on starting a family, this visit may reward you with more than just the view! Tradition has it that ladies wishing to conceive should climb these steps and their wish will be granted. The resulting little boys are then named Tsampikos and girls Tsampika. During your stay on Rhodes you will no doubt meet locals with this name and you will now know it's history! After the visit to the monastery, enjoy a relaxing day on the wonderful sandy Tsampika beach with its beach cafes and even Tsampika Waterland providing lots of family fun!

Visit the stunning Kalithea Springs and Spa, they are one of the most favorite wedding venues on Rhodes and also a very popular cultural site. The thermal Kalithea Springs were known for their therapeutic properties and were used by the Italians in the early 20th century, already back then attracting many visitors. The Kalithea Springs and Spa have been completely restored and will amaze you with their beauty.

Holiday Villas

Our luxury holiday villas are located in two areas. The first is an area called Trapezia which means plateau. This area, as the name suggests is raised and provides wonderful sea views. It is also very secluded and tranquil, ideal for those wanting quality shared time with friends and family.

The second area is on a hillside above Kolymbia which is a tourist resort with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. With the villas being located away from the main centre, you have the best of both worlds – peace and quiet at the holiday villa and access to the amenities.

Destination: Gennadi

Atmosphere:

Typical relaxed Greek village and beach with all the amenities you require for an enjoyable stay in Rhodes!

Most suitable for:

Guests looking to get away from the commercial tourist resorts and sample a bit of laid back Greek living.

Why Gennadi?

If you are looking for a truly relaxing break away from it all but still have access to some lovely restaurants, tavernas and great chill-out beach bars, then Gennadi is the place for you. As you walk around the village, deciding on where to spend your evening, you will immediately start to unwind. Even in the peak season, Gennadi is never overcrowded and you will always receive a warm welcome from the locals.

Days spent on the glorious beach are just as tranquil, as you bathe in the crystal clear waters then amble up to one of the marvellous seafood tavernas right on the sand. For a truly memorable evening, pop along to one of the atmospheric beach bars, listen to some chill-out music, have a couple of drinks and soak up the eclectic environment whilst burying your feet in the sand. For keen Wind Surfers and Kite Surfers, Gennadi is a great base for spending your days on the waves of Prassonisi!

Visit Prassonisi – Even if you are not a Wind Surfer or Kite Surfer, the Southern tip of Rhodes, known as Prassonisi is truly a sight to behold! As you arrive on the hill overlooking the beach, you will be welcomed by the spectacle of two totally different seas – one calm and one wavy – and the vibrant colours of the sails and kites on the water. A definite 'must see' in Rhodes.

Discover South West Rhodes – take a trip over to the West coast where you will be mesmerized by the spectacular beauty of the views from Monolithos Castle. Stop at Sianna to sample the delicious Olive Oil, Souma and Rhodian Honey. Just driving through this area is a joy with its breathtaking scenery!

Holiday Villas

We have different Holiday accommodation offerings in and around Gennadi. Firstly, we have brand new luxury Holiday Villas, each with it's own private pool within just a few minutes' walk to the centre of the village and the beach. Secondly, we have a family complex of apartments and villas surrounding two shared pools and a snack bar which is also just 100 metres from the village centre and short walk to the beach. And thirdly, we have 2 brand new Holiday Villas at the Beach front of Gennadi.

Restaurants and bars we love in and near Gennadi:

Mama's Kitchen – Right in the middle of the village serving traditional good value Greek food. You cannot go wrong!

Antonio's Restaurant – Lovely beachfront taverna serving fresh fish and some great Rhodian dishes. Spend a couple of hours eating homemade food with the glorious view of the sea right in front of you!

Phillips Bar/Mouria – A little difficult to find as it is at the back of the village with an interesting walk through the winding streets to get there, but it is worth it! Great bar serving great Cocktails and Guinness! There is also a restaurant that is linked to the bar. Everyone who visits once goes back again!

The Bandits Retreat in Profilia – Wonderful Greek taverna in a picturesque Greek village in the hills. Lovely outside terrace with its own tiny church and fabulous views of the village. Try the Coq au Vin Greek style!

Destination: Kalathos

Atmosphere:

Relaxed, peaceful with great sea views!

Most suitable for:

Adults and families wanting to stay close to Lindos but still be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of a luxury villa based in a peaceful environment with fabulous sea views and access to a beautiful uncrowded beach.

Why Kalathos?

Kalathos is just a 7 minute drive to Lindos which is one of the main reasons that guests choose to stay in this area. The other main attraction is the long beautiful sweeping unspoilt beach that seems to go on forever! The water here is crystal clear and a real pleasure to swim in. There are some great tavernas and restaurants close to the beach and a bakery and pharmacy on the main road.

Enjoy lazy days on the lovely Kalathos Beach.

Day and evening trips to Lindos either to visit the ancient acropolis, walk the cobbled streets browsing the many gift shops or enjoying a meal or drink in one of the many establishments.

Kalathos is also ideally located for trips to Rhodes Town in the North where you can discover the medieval walled city.

Families with young children and adults wanting to have everything at their fingertips.

Why Lardos?

Firstly, Lardos is just 15 minutes drive to Lindos making visits to Lindos very easy. There are also some great amenities to relax and enjoy a drink in one of the many cafes/bars. 

As well as the family fun, some of the best restaurants in the South of Rhodes are close by in Pefkos, only 5 minutes away from Lardos, so if you are after fine dining, this is the place to be. Something that is also unique to Pefkos are it's wonderful sunsets, providing the setting for very romantic dining. These sunsets cannot be found in the other resorts on the East Coast.

Roulas – Located in Lardos village and worth a visit. This great taverna offers fresh home cooked food that is always delicious! You will be served by one of the Greek family, all of whom are always keen to please. You will come away replenished and happy!

Philosophia in Pefkos – Arrive in time for the sunset. This is one of the best views you will experience in Rhodes! The food is also excellent.  Booking is essential for the evening.

Kyma in Pefkos – Overlooking Lee beach, therefore fabulous ocean view. The quality of the service and food is guaranteed. Try to go at the beginning of your holiday as you may well want to return!

Why Rhodes Town Area?

Choosing to stay in the North of Rhodes, close to Rhodes Town enables you to explore and enjoy everything that this incredible city has to offer.

Enter into the medieval walled city, browse through the many unique shops, take in some amazing culture by visiting one of the many excellent museums, stop for a drink in one of the many outdoor cafes (great for people watching) and of course choose one of the many restaurants for a delicious meal.

Fancy a day shopping? Discover the many familiar high street shops, as well as designer stores and indeed Greek brand shops in the New Town.

If you want a special night out, treat yourself to one of the top class restaurants and perhaps stop off for a drink in one of the music bars. The evening can be as romantic or lively as you wish it to be! Being close to the city does not mean that you need to miss out on amazing beaches!

Some of the most picturesque beaches on the island are in the North, such as Kalithea - visit the beautiful Kalithea Springs whilst you are there. This of course is also one of the main locations for Weddings on the island.

The Lindos area is made up of 3 parts:

Lindos Village - Buzzing, very picturesque, days on the beach, nights in the restaurants, bars and clubs

Vlycha Bay – Self contained beach with tavernas, cafes and water sports

Lardos – Lively Greek village with some great tavernas and cafes. Great for sitting out and enjoying village life! Lardos beach also offers some great tavernas and water-sports.

Most suitable for:

Adults wanting to enjoy lazy days on the beaches, swimming or snorkelling in the warm Mediterranean sea. Excellent food and great roof top terraces in the evening. Culture - visit the acropolis for a real taste of history and fabulous views. Children will enjoy the beaches, ice cream parlours and crepe shops.

Why Lindos?

Lindos provides a self contained adult playground with all amenities within easy walking distance. There are no cars in the village making it very safe to wander around the cobbled streets without fear of traffic. There is an excellent range of restaurants and bars to choose from as well as night clubs. The streets are also full of wonderful gift shops offering souvenirs, beautiful handmade crafts and some lovely clothes boutiques. The shops are open during the day and late into the evening providing a great opportunity to walk through the village before or after dinner. There are also several small supermarkets that cater for most of your needs, a pharmacy, a bank and ATM's. To avoid the crowds, the best times to go are early season - April through to June or late season - September through to November. April and May are exceptionally pretty in Lindos when the Spring flowers are scattered over the surrounding hillsides, skies are blue and the sun is not too hot. September is a favourite for many Lindos veterans (many people have been coming to Lindos for over 30 years) as the sea has been warmed through the summer months and there are less people than in July and August. Recommendations of things to do during your stay in Lindos Visit the acropolis - this is a must, even for people who are not that interested in history as the views are spectacular! Swim in St Paul's Bay - a lot of people just stick to the main sandy beach and Pallas Beach. St Paul's Bay is exceptionally beautiful and has great snorkelling. Walk along the peninsula to the old windmill - a beautiful walk in Spring when the flowers are in bloom Swim off the rocks to the side of Pallas Beach - crystal clear waters for those real sea lovers. You can also swim into the natural caves here. Eat on one of the roof terraces - take in the views of the village life going on below Enjoy the sunrise - for early risers or people who have not made it to bed yet, there are some beautiful sunrises over the bays.

Holiday Villas

The nearest holiday villas to Lindos Village are in the Psaltos area - otherwise known as Navarone Bay after the film 'The Guns of Navarone' which was filmed there. This area is often chosen by guests getting married or attending weddings in St Paul's Bay in Lindos as this is the closest accommodation to the church. The holiday villas are around a 30 to 40 minute walk into the village or a 3min drive by car.

Some smaller properties are available at the top of Lindos - an area known as Krana which are around a 20 minute walk into the village. Lindos is a large walking village with uneven road surfaces (many of the streets are cobbled); it is therefore unsuitable for people with walking difficulties.

Vlycha Bay is slightly further away from the village (around 2 kilometres) where we have some beautiful modern holiday villas all with true infinity pools and within very easy walking distance (just a couple of minutes) to the beach with its restaurants, cafes and water sports facilities. Vlycha is a great base for guests wanting to indulge themselves in a little luxury and be just a few minutes' drive from Lindos village. The newest Wedding Venue on Rhodes 'Ktima' is also located in Vlycha bay.

Broccolino – Wonderful homemade Italian/Mediterranean food in a beautiful environment just outside the hubbub of the centre of the villa. Relax and enjoy!

Ambrosia – Excellent Mediterranean cuisine with top class service. A place to go for that special occasion!

Skala – The best restaurant on Pallas Beach. Enjoy a leisurely lunch after a morning on the beach or stroll down in the evening for a relaxed dinner in the moonlight!

Tambakio – Treat yourself to lunch after lazing on one of the comfortable sun beds on St Paul's Bay or book a table for the evening when the atmosphere is wonderfully romantic with the beautiful view of the church and it's reflection on the calm water right in front of you!

Roulas – Located in Lardos village and worth a visit even if you are staying close to Lindos. This great taverna offers fresh home cooked food that is always delicious! You will be served by one of the Greek family, all of whom are always keen to please. You will come away replenished and happy!
